The Redeem Christian Church Of God Announces, that their G.O
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has retired as Nigeria Head. Pastor J.O Obayemi is
now (his successor ) the new G.O of the Redeem Christian Church of God as
announced by Pastor Adeboye, on Saturday , this was made known ahead of his
75th birthday on 2 March.

The new GO Nigeria is Pastor Joshua Obayemi was chosen as
the new GO at the Annual Ministers Thanksgiving at Shimawa, in Ogun State.
Pastor Obayemi the newly appointed GO was the former Special
Assistant to the General Overseer (SATGO) on Finance.
Appointed also by Adeboye, Pastor Johnson Odesola, who was
the Special Assistant on Administration and Personnel was  also appointed by pastor Adeboye as the church
Secretary  alongside Pastor Adeyokunnu as
church Treasurer.

Brief Biography Of Retired G.O

Pastor Adeboye Fondly called daddy G.O was born on March 2,
1942, in Ifewara, Osun State.
He studied Pure Mathematics  at University of Nigeria Nsukka were he bagged
his B.Sc, and afterwards obtained his PhD in applied mathematics from the
University of Lagos, and worked as a lecturer in Mathematics at the
universities of Lagos and Ilorin, prior to his full time priesthood in 1984.
He became a full member of the Redeem Christian Church Of
God in 1973, and then he began to map out strategies on how to translate the
sermons of its then Pastor and founder, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, who usually
preach in his own indigenous dialect from Yoruba into English.
Daddy G.O  in 1981 was
appointed General Overseer of the church. He succeeded Papa Akindayomi, latter
passed on in the year 1982.
He was one of the G.O then that headed a church and performed
the part time role for three years because he was still lecturing at Ilorin.
He became a full time pastor in 1984.
The church, which was hardly recognized prior to Adeboye’s
ascendance has fully grown unbelievably, to become one of the strongest Nigerian’s
biggest and most popular church, with branches worldwide in about 190
countries, including more than 14,000 in Nigeria.
Daddy G.O has always aimed higher with a goal to put a
church branch within five minutes of every person on Earth and to have a redeem
member in every family on earth.
He is married to Adenike, now 68.
